ACMP Chapter Formation Process

Step 1: Assess Step 2: Apply Step 3: Sustain
  • Find 5-8 local ACMP members to drive start up efforts
  • Submit Inquiry to ACMP Global and speak with a member of the Chapter Formation Committee (CFC) for guidance
  • Do a preliminary search of members in your area using the search feature on ACMPglobal.org
  • Draft a communication for ACMP Global to send to members in your geographic area
  • Network with your local change management community
  • Confirm you have enough interest in your region to move forward


Submit Inquiry

  • Apply for affiliation with Chapter Application
  • Establish your chapter
    • Create bylaws in compliance with ACMP Global Bylaws
    • Engage a Board of Directors
    • Evaluate needs for insurance
    • Open a bank account
    • Become a legal non-profit entity (as per your country rules)
    • Create a Website or social media presence
  • Develop Communications, Membership, Chapter Event, and Sponsorship plans
  • Hold chapter events and communications
  • Recruit at least 25 ACMP members for chapter participation
  • Submit all information to ACMP Global for approval and affiliation
  • Schedule regular check in meetings with your CFC contact


Apply for Affiliation

Within one year of affiliation:

  • Increase membership to your chapter
  • Hold at least two events per year
  • Connect with ACMP Chapter Leaders through the Chapter Leadership Forum to share best practices and get early updates on news from ACMP Global
  • Send events to ACMP Global (link) for promotion on the Website and in the monthly newsletter
  • Attend ACMP Global Conferences
