Begin by determining whether you qualify for CCMP™. You require:
Education & Experience
A 4-year degree (or international equivalent) and 3 years (4200 hours) of change management experience
Secondary education (high school or international equivalent) and 5 years (7000 hours) of change management experience
Completion of 21 hours of instructor-led change management training in the past seven years. The QEP Registry provides a listing of courses that align to The Standard for Change Management®, but you may also take qualifying courses that are not listed on the registry. Qualified Education Provider Courses
ACMP's Qualified Education Provider™ (QEP™) program qualifies change management training and continuing education courses that align to ACMP's Standard for Change Management® and adult education best practices.
The QEP program is aligned to the Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™). Qualified courses can be found in the QEP Registry giving potential students and future CCMP candidates one place to search for the change management courses they need.Read More
Application & Exam
Before your application can be reviewed, payment must be made. Payment is the final step after entering your experience, education, training, essay question responses and agreeing to the Statement of Understanding. The application fee includes the exam fee.

Maintaining Your Certification
Once you pass the CCMP™ exam, your certification is in effect for three years. Within that three year period you must maintain your credential through renewal activities. This process demonstrates to employers that you remain committed to developing your knowledge and experience to stay current, and have the right to continue using the CCMP™ credential.
PDUs can be earned several ways: by attending conferences, QEP courses and webinars. If you do not accumulate 60 PDUs or do not submit the renewal application within the active certification cycle, your certification will be suspended and you may not refer to yourself as a CCMP credential holder. The suspension period lasts for one year after which your certification will expire and you must submit a new application, starting the process from the beginning, if you want to regain the credential. Refer to the Candidate Handbook for more information about the certification maintenance process.
During each three year period, certificants must complete 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) and record them in ACMP's online system. Each PDU corresponds to one hour spent on an activity (with the exception of experience) and requires supporting evidence of completion. Keep all receipts and related documentation to validate your renewal application. In the third year, all PDUs are submitted for approval along with a fee. Log in to the portal to begin reporting PDUs.
